    General Terms and Conditions of absolutely.skin


    These General Terms and Conditions apply to all (advertising) communications, services, products, and materials of absolutely.skin and its employees. Where specific agreements are concluded, such as treatment agreements with the client, these General Terms and Conditions form an integral part of those agreements.


    Definitions:
    In these General Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:
    • Beauty salon: The beauty specialists working at absolutely.skin who conclude a treatment agreement with the client.
    • Client: The person who concludes a treatment agreement with the beauty salon for themselves or for a third party.
    • Consumer: A natural person who, not acting in the exercise of a profession or business, uses the services of absolutely.skin.
    • Agreement: The agreement relating to treatments and/or the delivery of products in the field of cosmetic care.


    1. Efforts of the Salon
    The beauty salon will carry out treatments to the best of its knowledge and ability, in accordance with the requirements of good craftsmanship and based on the current state of scientific knowledge. The beauty salon will inform the client as fully as reasonably possible about the financial consequences of any changes or additions to the treatment.

    2. Appointments and Cancellations
    Cancellation Policy
    To ensure fairness to all clients and staff, the following cancellation policy applies:
    • Cancellation Notice: Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
    • Late Arrival (Treated as Cancellation):
    Any arrival 10 or more minutes later than the scheduled appointment time will be considered a cancellation, regardless of whether notice is given. As treatments are time-based and cannot be shortened or shifted without impact on client safety and hygiene protocols required, the full treatment(s) fee (100%) will still be charged.
    • No-Show Policy:
    Failure to attend an appointment without prior cancellation will be treated as a no-show and charged 100% of the scheduled service(s).
    • Rescheduling:
    One reschedule per appointment is permitted without charge if requested within the 48-hour cancellation period. Rescheduling requests made after this period (of 48 hours), but before 24 hour period will incur a 50% of the scheduled service(s) fee, charged via the available payment method or payment link. Rescheduling after the 24 hour period will incur a 100% of the scheduled service(s) fee.

    • Pre-paid packages:

    Should your appointment be a part of a pre-paid multi-treatment packages, there will be no extra fee charged, but you will lose that treatment (of the day of that appointment, on which the no-show, cancellation, late arrival or late reschedule occured).

    Example: client buys a package of 3 facial peels, doesn't show up for one of the appointments, there will now be only 2 (two) treatments left in your package.


    • Exceptions:
    In cases of illness, bereavement, or a sudden and urgent emergency posing an immediate threat to life, health, or safety, notice must be given as soon as reasonably possible. Non-notified absence will still be treated as a no-show. The salon reserves the right to assess exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
    By booking an appointment, the client agrees to this cancellation policy. The beauty salon will make reasonable efforts to limit costs where possible.
    Prices for treatments and products are clearly displayed in the salon. All prices include VAT. Advertised offers are valid for the stated period and/or while supplies last. Payment is due immediately.

    3. Payment & Cashless Policy
    All prices include VAT. Payment for treatments and products is due immediately after the treatment.

    Cashless Payments
    Absolutely.skin operates as a cashless business. In accordance with Dutch law, cash payments are not accepted. Payment can be made exclusively via card/PIN or other electronic payment methods accepted by the salon. This policy is communicated in advance and applies to all services and products.
    Refunds for prepaid treatments will only be granted on medical grounds.

    4. Personal Data & Privacy
    Before the first treatment, the client must provide all information reasonably necessary for the safe and proper execution of treatments. Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable Dutch privacy legislation (GDPR). Personal data will not be sold or rented to third parties without consent, unless legally required.

    5. Confidentiality
    The beauty therapist is bound to confidentiality regarding all information shared by the client during treatment, unless disclosure is required by law or court order.

    6. Liability
    The beauty salon is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or withheld information provided by the client. The salon is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought into the salon.

    7. Satisfaction Guarantee
    The beauty salon provides a two-week (14-day) guarantee on products. This guarantee lapses if:
    • Products other than those advised by the salon are used
    • Home care advice is not followed
    • Products are not used according to instructions
    • Medical advice is not sought within five working days when advised
    • Other products continue to be used against salon advice

    8. Complaints
    Complaints regarding treatments or products must be submitted in writing within five working days after discovery. The salon will respond within five working days. If no agreement is reached, the dispute may be submitted to a mediator or competent authority.

    9. Damage & Theft
    The salon may claim compensation for damage caused by the client. Theft will always be reported to the police.

    10. Conduct
    Clients are expected to behave in accordance with generally accepted standards. Continued inappropriate behavior after warning may result in refusal of access to the salon.


    11. Applicable Law
    All agreements are governed by Dutch law. In the event of interpretation differences, the Dutch version prevails. The most recent version applicable at the time of agreement applies
